Every step from a job landing in the queue to the payment leaving, who decides what, and where each record is kept.
One job, hour by hour
The job lands
The manufacturer sent a new firmware build for the card reader. A 24-case job for card reader v2.3 entered the queue with five slots.
You take a slot
Your level covered embedded work and you had a slot free. Taking it was instant, and the job went to 4 of 5.
Environment verified
You connected the device and the agent recorded the firmware version, the serial console settings and the timestamp. That record cannot be edited afterwards.
You submitted your proof
The run record for all 24 cases went out in one package, with screenshots and console logs for the two bugs you found.
Accepted
The client approved the report. ₺1,850 was added to your balance.
Who decides what
The client
Sends the build and the cases, sets the slot count and the fee, and either accepts the report or rejects it with a written reason.
The tester
Takes as many open jobs as their slots allow, runs the cases, attaches the evidence and submits the report.
BountyShift
Matches the work, keeps the run record, runs the payments and rules on disputes. It does not decide which bugs are real.
When a notification reaches you
When a job lands, three filters apply: does the tester's level cover that job type, do they have a free slot, and is the environment it asks for on their profile. If any one fails, nothing is sent. That is why there are few notifications and a high take rate.
- Level — the job type has to be unlocked
- Slot — you have to be under your concurrent job limit
- Environment — the device, OS or hardware it needs has to be on your profile
If you miss the deadline
A job you do not deliver in time releases your slot automatically and returns to the queue. The first time, your acceptance rate is untouched. If it repeats, your concurrent slot count drops one step, and five accepted jobs bring it back.
Apply, and the queue opens
The form asks about your experience, the job types you have worked on and the environments you have. Applications are decided within the same week.
